This application is for the Wallace Memorial History Room of the Norfolk County Historical Society, which is located on the 2nd floor of the Chesapeake Central Library at 298 Cedar Road in Chesapeake, Virginia. Although our history room is located in the library, we are not part of the public library system. You will also be asked to complete a City of Chesapeake volunteer application. Both applications are required. 

Volunteers in the Wallace Memorial History Room are expected to adhere to the policies and procedures of the Historical Society and the City of Chesapeake. You must be at least 18 years old, must consent to a criminal background check per city policy and must complete city-required orientation sessions.
